In this section you can browse through a plan chest – full of very early works on paper – from line drawings to pastels and watercolours to early mixed media. Dating back to schooldays, student works, to the early stages of my art career, where I was still finding my voice by experimenting with subjects and techniques.
In 2011 my studio suffered a flood from a burst pipe and some of the contents of the plan chest still bear the marks of the damage – in my opinion the stains, discolouration, spots and warped appearance add something to the patina of time, while still allowing the drawings to retain their allure. If you feel any are worth saving, they are available at low prices reflecting their condition. Everything in this section is priced at £5 – 200 ( + p&p) .
